List of various card holder agents

Three categories of agents are working presently for mobilising funds under various small savings schemes:-

(i) Standardised Agents (SAS)
(ii) Mahila Pradhan Kshetriya Bachat Yojana Agents ( Mahila Pradhan)
(iii) Public Provident Fund Agents (PPF)

Standardised Agents (SAS):

Role

To canvass for the sale of Kisan Vikas Patra, National Savings Certificates, Deposits in Post Office Time Deposit Account (1,2,3 & 5 years), Monthly Income Scheme & Senior Citizen Savings Scheme. To liaise between the investor, post office and the small savings department. To render service to the investors as and when required.

Eligibility for agent appointment

(i).   Adult individuals.

(ii).   E.D.B.P.M.S.

Kisan Vikas Patra - 1%

National Savings certificates VIIIth Issue  - 1%

Monthly Income Scheme  - 1%

Time Deposits Account (1,2,3 & 5 year)  - 1%

Senior Citizen Savings Scheme  - 0.5%

(ii).       MAHILA PRADHAN KSHETRIYA BACHAT YOJANA :

Role

To promote post office 5 year R.D. accounts amongst the public. To facilitate opening of such accounts. To liaise between the investor, post offices and small savings department. To render service to the investors as and when required.

Eligibility

(i). Individual woman (Above 18 years)

(iii).      PUBLIC PROVIDENT FUND AGENT :

Role

To promote public provident fund accounts amongst the public. To facilitate opening of such accounts. To liaise between the investor, post offices and small savings department. To render service to the investors as and when required.
